  • Hatha yoga practice which will strengthen and restore the body and mind

Ashtanga
  • Traditionally Ashtanga is taught in a Mysore setting (where students come together to practice individually)
  • The first series of Ashtanga yoga is also known as yoga Chikitsa which means remedy/therapy in Sanskrit as it is deeply purifying and healing
  • You will learn the traditional Ashtanga practice linking each movement with breath. In this class we will explore the half primary series together. I will guide you, make the class accessible for all by offering variations for the postures as required, and we will work towards sharing a guided class together.
Restore
  • Yin yoga. Slow-paced practice with a focus on holding each pose for long periods of time, helping the body to soften and relax
  • Designed to strengthen and balance the body's meridians
  • This practice will stretch the body's deep connective tissues and the results can be transformative
Pranayama
  • Seated and guided practice of ancient breathwork and breath retention practices and meditation
Begin
  • Introduction to Yoga
  • Focusses on traditional methods of asana (posture), pranayama (breath retention) and meditation, as well as the eight limbs of yoga
  • 1.5 hour 1:1 Private Classes are available on request at $75
Intention
  • Take time out to set your intentions
  • We will delve into ancient breathing techniques, find stillness in meditation and take some time to focus on our intention and purpose, closing with a relaxing yoga nidra (a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping)
